Earl Martin (the locals who were friends with him called him "Ivory Dome") came to the dry house at the end of Franklin Street shortly before the incident and tried to purchase pears, He was upset when none were available but said he was going to find them somewhere else. Apparently he did not have any luck and decided to go to a show. That apparently did not work out either. The house where the incident occurred is the first cobblestone home east of where LaGasse Iron Works is located on the Old Rt 31. |
