The article says: Jerry Collins, 83, Injured in Fall Last Wednesday Jerry Collins, probably the most well known Sheriff in the State, having served in the Wayne County Sheriff's Office in the capacity of Deputy Sheriff and Sheriff over a period of 54 years and in this capacity winning national recognition for the capture of the notorious Oliver Curtis Perry, train robber, is confined to his home in Lyons recovering from the effects of a fall.
