George Delue Booking Sheet



George DeLue, "boy desperado of Wayne County".  Referred to as one of the "Kids". According to notes at the historical society, attributed to Jerry Collins, DeLue was "one of the hardest when captured, firearms were always found on him".  Records show that DeLue was sent to Elmira Reform School for the crime of Burglary on June 24, 1920, again on October 27th, 1921, and finally Auburn Prison for 10 years on June 25, 1927.  According to the notes, DeLue had "done everything from jail breaking, bank burglarizing, horse stealing, automobile stealing down to breaking into the First Reformed Church of Marion from where he roamed.
